Know where your health stands—and what to do next.
Bearing is a GP-led proactive medical service for people who are generally well and want to stay that way. We bring together your medical history, targeted pathology, nurse-led testing and an extended consultation with a doctor to create your personalised Proactive Health Roadmap for the year ahead.
Your dedicated concierge coordinates every practical step, with a six-month GP review included. Personally coordinated from start to finish.
A clear course for the year ahead.
Begin before you arrive
Your concierge explains the process and helps you complete your medical history. A Bearing doctor reviews it and requests relevant pathology. Once your results have been received, your assessment is arranged.
Testing and medical judgement
Your 90-minute appointment includes 45 minutes of targeted, nurse-led testing, 15 minutes to compile your results and brief the doctor, and an extended 30-minute consultation with your GP.
Follow your roadmap
You leave with a personalised Proactive Health Roadmap for the next 12 months. Your concierge helps arrange the practical next steps, and a six-month GP review assesses your progress.
Most healthcare starts with a problem.
Bearing starts with a plan.
Your usual GP remains central to your healthcare—particularly when you are unwell or need ongoing treatment. Bearing complements that care by creating dedicated time to look ahead, establish a considered baseline and decide what deserves attention over the coming year.
Personal by design.
Bearing is intentionally structured around time, continuity and personal coordination. Your concierge guides you through each practical step. A qualified nurse conducts the testing protocol. A GP considers the findings in the context of your medical history, explains what they mean and develops your Proactive Health Roadmap with you.
It is a white-glove approach to proactive medicine: fewer hand-offs, clear responsibility and active follow-through throughout the year.
Bearing is led by Medical Director Dr Bimsara Gurusinghe and draws on the experience of the team behind Family Clinics, an established private primary healthcare group. Family Clinics is Bearing's affiliated GP network for patients who need ongoing care.
A clinical service. Not another health platform.
Bearing combines the clinical judgement of general practice with the time, coordination and follow-through needed to plan ahead.

With Bearing, technology supports the care. It isn't the care.
Every test should have a reason.
More testing does not always mean better medicine. Before your assessment, a Bearing doctor reviews your medical history and selects pathology relevant to your age, circumstances and risk factors. During your visit, a qualified nurse conducts a targeted clinical testing protocol.
We do not test simply because we can. Each result should help your doctor understand your health, guide a decision or shape what happens next.
Your GP then brings the findings together, explains what matters and uses them to develop your Proactive Health Roadmap.
Not more data. A clearer way forward.
